How Much Do Porcelain Veneers Cost in New Haven, CT?
Published by Center for Esthetic Dentistry.
If you've started pricing porcelain veneers in New Haven, CT, you've likely found that a real number is hard to pin down online. The cost of veneers depends on how many teeth you're treating, what your smile needs, and the look you want. At Center for Esthetic Dentistry, our goal is for you to leave your consultation with a clear plan and, where possible, pricing you can take home and think over.
Here's how veneer pricing works with us, what insurance does and doesn't cover, and what to weigh before you decide.
How much do porcelain veneers cost in New Haven, CT?
The cost of porcelain veneers depends on your plan: how many teeth you're covering, the shape and shade you choose, and whether other treatment belongs in the plan too. Because every case is custom, Dr. Lerch needs to see your teeth and hear what you want before we can give you a number. Where possible, you leave your consultation with a treatment plan and pricing you can take home.
Veneers are custom-made coverings for your teeth. They can improve teeth that are chipped, stained, crooked or misshapen, and they can mask gaps in your smile. Each veneer is made for one tooth, so the number of teeth you're treating is one of the main factors in your total.
These are the details that shape the price of your plan:
- How many teeth you're treating. Changing one chipped front tooth and redesigning every tooth that shows when you smile are very different plans.
- Whether you're whitening too. Whitening doesn't change the color of veneers, so if you'd like your natural teeth brighter as well, we plan that together with your veneers.
- Whether another option fits part of your smile. Cosmetic bonding can fix chips, gaps and small flaws in a single visit, and we'll talk it through if it suits a tooth.
You can see what's involved on our page about porcelain veneers in New Haven, CT, and the ADA's MouthHealthy guide explains how dental veneers work.
Does dental insurance cover porcelain veneers?
Usually, no. Cosmetic dentistry isn't covered by dental insurance, so we handle veneers on a fee-for-service basis. The ADA notes that veneers are considered cosmetic dentistry and may not be covered unless they're deemed medically necessary.
For general dentistry, we're in network with Delta Dental of New Jersey. If you're not sure where your care falls, call us at (203) 624-5256 and we'll walk you through it.
Can I pay for porcelain veneers over time?
Yes. Our treatment care coordinator sits down with you to map out a plan that fits your budget, including third-party financing through CareCredit, Alphaeon or Cherry. You can also pay by cash or credit card.
Our treatment coordinator walks you through your financing options, so you'll never have to sort out the money side alone. You'll find the details on our finances and insurance page.
What should you weigh before you pay for veneers?
Porcelain veneers are a long-term choice, so it helps to know the tradeoffs up front. To place a porcelain veneer, your dentist removes a small amount of enamel from the front and sides of the tooth, which means the treatment isn't reversible.
Porcelain veneers are strong and long-lasting. Over time, a veneer may still chip, crack, wear down or loosen and need to be re-bonded, repaired or replaced. Whitening won't work on veneers or crowns, so it's worth choosing your shade with care. The ADA explains this in its guide to teeth whitening.
That's why the planning stage matters so much to us. We match color, shape and proportion so your veneers look like your own teeth, and we want you to understand every choice in front of you before you commit to one.
Why do New Haven patients choose Dr. Lerch at Center for Esthetic Dentistry for veneers?
Dr. Summer Lerch has spent more than 40 years perfecting the art of the natural-looking smile. She was the fourth woman ever Accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and she served many years as an examiner, reviewing the work of other dentists to become accredited.
Your smile design consultation begins with a real conversation about what's been bothering you, what you've been putting off, and what you want your smile to feel like. You spend one-on-one time with our cosmetic dental assistant, our treatment coordinator and Dr. Lerch. We call it co-discovery: mapping out what's possible for your smile so you understand every choice in front of you, with no pressure and no surprises.
The consultation is a conversation, not a commitment: you can take your plan home, think it over, and decide when you're ready.
