Our General Dentistry Procedures

We offer the following at our dental office in New Haven, CT:

Dentist and dental hygienist cleaning teeth

Cleanings and Exams

Cleanings with your dental hygienist and exams with your dentist can go a long way toward protecting your oral health. Your hygienist can remove built-up plaque and tartar that you may not be able to remove with at-home care, and your dentist can routinely screen you for early signs of oral health problems so they can be prevented.

Fillings

If a tooth has developed a cavity, our dentist can remove the decayed portion of the tooth and fill it with a material to restore both appearance and functionality. Fillings are a common general dentistry practice and many people will need a filling during their lifetime.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown can cover a tooth that has been severely damaged by trauma or decay. A crown can cap the tooth to protect it from further damage and restore its appearance and functionality. A dental crown can also be supported by a dental implant to completely restore a single tooth from root to crown. Our practice uses all-porcelain and porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns for a natural-looking restoration.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges aim to restore up to three missing teeth in a row so you can chew and smile with confidence. Bridges are supported on both sides by crowned abutment teeth or dental implants. If you desire dental implants, our New Haven practice can arrange treatment with a trusted implant specialist.

What a wonderful dental practice! I’ve never received such amazing and personal care at a dentist office and/or most other medical offices. This team works well together and is happy to let you know as many details as you’re interested in knowing about what’s going on in your mouth.

I sat up in the chair again yesterday and cried tears of joy for the amazing work Dr. Lerch did on my two front teeth. One was cracked; one was chipped. They look better than they ever did, and all the work was covered by insurance. She is an artist, and visiting this cozy and loving practice is always a great experience.
