At the Center for Esthetic Dentistry, LLC, we treat the whole person, not just the tooth. I am a holistic dentist, which means that I work to benefit your overall health as well as your smile. I know that happy dental patients achieve the best results, because they are relaxed, at ease, and able to communicate with my staff and me. The Art of Smiles Family – Meet Our Team
Dr. N. Summer Lerch, DDS, FAGD, AAACD
Dr. N. Summer Lerch, DDS, FAGD, AAACD, is a 1982 graduate of the University of Washington Dental School and a 1984 graduate of the Family Dentistry Residency program from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She was awarded the Team Dentistry award upon completion of dental school and then went on to attain her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1988. In 1989, after joining the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), she fell in love with cosmetic dentistry and the impact it had on people's lives. She then renamed her practice "Center for Esthetic Dentistry, LLC" developed her mission statement,
"BEAUTIFUL SMILES; LIFE ENHANCED. EXTRAORDINARY PATIENT SATISFACTION. A DENTAL PRACTICE WHERE HONOR AND DIGNITY ARE COMMONPLACE, FOREVER,"
and set about fulfilling it. She became Accredited with the AACD in 1990, the fourth woman to ever do so. In order to keep her eye trained for the best in dental cosmetics and to help others attain Accreditation, she started as an examiner and mentor for the AACD in 1992. She went on the Board of Directors of the AACD and then became the editor of the AACD Journal from 1992 through 1994. In 2003 Dr. Lerch was nominated to AACD Ethics Committee, retiring as it Chair in 2007. She currently continues as an examiner for the Accreditation process and is both a Past-President of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an affiliate of the AACD and a past Board member of same. She also currently serves on the Editorial Review Board of YourDentistryGuide.com, an online source for pertinent dental information; Radiant Life, a professional publication offering wellness information; and advisor to Cosmepedia.com, an online, experienced based, health professional search engine.
Dr. Lerch's practice management style, her team's development in communication, and their patient satisfaction orientation, has earned her practice the "Best of New Haven" award by the regional Advocate newspaper fourteen year sin a row. She has appeared on local television shows, had New Haven Register articles featuring her practice and cosmetic dentistry, and has been consulted by major magazines, i.e. Vogue and Redbook, for articles they were writing about cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Lerch has lectured internationally and locally. She is deeply committed to all people getting what they want and the smile they deserve through cosmetic and preventive dentistry.
To that end she start “Hope In A Smile” offering free charitable Smile Design services to domestic abuse victims in New Haven, CT. In 2006 she was nominated to membership in the Pierre Fouchard Academy (PFA.) Candidates for active fellowship in PFA need to be ethical dentists who have made outstanding contributions to the art and science of dentistry and/or to society. In 2009 Dr. Lerch was a Steering Committee member of the second annual Connecticut Mission of Mercy where over 900 volunteers saw over 1800 patients in two days and provided over $800,000 of free dental care. It was an amazing and heart-warming experience!
Dr. Nancy Summer Lerch is married with two children. She loves to ski, read, spend time with friends and design beautiful smiles.

Gail Kuziel, CDA – Patient Care Coordinator and Smile Design Consultant
It is Gail's friendly smile that welcomes patients to our office and makes them feel at home. Gail has over 30 years of experience in dentistry, with expertise in everything from dental assisting to dental office sales, customer service, business management and dental insurance expertise. Currently, she is in charge of our patient scheduling, financial coordination and marketing.
Gail continuously helps our patients afford the dental care they deserve by assisting them in arranging comfortable payment options as well as maximizing dental insurance benefits. Gail's willingness to go above and beyond for people is a true asset to our patients, whether they are receiving cosmetic dentistry, general dental care, or restorative treatments. She makes them feel comfortable and welcome at our office.
She enjoys meeting new people and helping patients understand their dental treatment. When she is not working she enjoys painting, dancing and volunteer work.

Sheri brings over twenty years experience to the CED Smile Design Team.
Her knowledge and skill combined with her nurturing nature and gentle hands makes her the perfect companion for the smile makeover journey. She is directly responsible for educating and empowering our patients in all aspects of their dental health.
Sheri is the mother of two and in addition to her work at The Center for Esthetic Dentistry, LLC she enjoys cooking and visiting eclectic restaurants with her loving husband.

Lyn McGuire, Human Resource and Business Manager
Lyn brings over thirty years of accounting and bookkeeping experience to the Center for Esthetic Dentistry, LLC. She has been CED’s Business and Human Resources Manager for the past seven years.
Lyn plays an integral role in establishing dental business practices and implementing systems that allow CED to operate a successful business model. This practical foundation assists our smile design team in achieving our ultimate vision and goal of unparalleled patient care and satisfaction.
Lyn is married with two children. She enjoys reading, being with her family and being outdoors.

To help our clients realize their dreams, we offer a variety of payment options.
